Microsoft Office Apps have distorted colors, black bars

Applications such as Word Excel and Powerpoint have blackened text, ribbon bars, menus, and in excel black lines appear around the grid randomly. Numerous reinstalls, windows reinstalls as well have failed to fix the issue. The issue persists even when a new user account is created regardless of whether it is a local or microsoft account. There are no add-ins to any of the application. Using the apps' safe modes does not remove the issue. I have tried installing it as the first program after refreshing the OS, but the issue persists.

I'm all out of ideas now

    This solved it for me

I have resolved this, this is what I did:

    1. Open Excel and open a new work book (or existing file)
    2. Click File, Options and then Advanced
    3. Scroll down to Display and click the check box to Disable Hardware Graphics Acceleration

This fixed the issue for me and also similar display issues with Word and Powerpoint.

    Hope that helps.

    Andy

No, other applications do not show any signs of distortion similar to the office apps.

These are the screenshots you've requested:
