    Hi,

Calibri is used as the default font in most Office suites. However, you have the option to change what font will be your default font in all Office apps. In your case, this seems not applicable successfully because your Word 2013 is not saving the default font that you set correctly. For us to fix this issue, we recommend that you perform the following steps:

    1. In Word, go to File, then select Option.
    2. In the Word Options window, click Add-Ins and then select Templates under Manage, click Go.
    3. On the new pop-up window entitled "Templates and Add-ins" click the Attach button.
    4. From there, select Normal.dotm / Normal and click Open.

Once done, kindly try to change the default font set again in your Word 2016 by using the shortcut keys Ctrl+D.

Let us know if that works for you.

If you mean that you changed to Calibri via Design | Fonts, note that such a change only applies to text ranges whose font is defined to use a theme font, that is, "+Body" or "+Headings."

Do the following to change the default font: In a blank new document (Ctrl+N), press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S to display the Styles pane. Click the Manage Styles icon and go to the Set Defaults tab. Choose the specific font you want. Select "New documents based on this template" and click OK.

Later, if/when you are prompted to save the Normal template, choose to do so.
