I am attempting to print a 12 page booklet, including my front & back covers, using 1/2 of an 8.5X11 for each page. I created the booklet using the template as if each page is like looking at a book, i.e. the back cover is on the left side of the page & the front cover is on the right. Pages 1 & 2 then are left & right sides with 1 on the left. What do I need to do to print this booklet successfully. I do have a printer that will print on both sides.

When you say that you created the booklet using the template as if each page is looking like a book, do you mean that under the Multiple Pages dropdown on the Margins tab of the Page Setup dialog, you had "Book fold" selected?
Hi Doug,
My Multiple pages option is under View & when i click that, the pages show up as #1 facing #2, etc except that my back cover is on the left & front cover is on the right. I don’t see a Book Fold option. I’m trying to end up with a booklet that is 8.5 X 5.5, an 8.5 by 11 folded in half like a large greeting card. It is a total of 12 half pages including covers. I can’t seem to just rearrange the pages, apparently due to some unobvious margins or tabs that are part of the program. I can print & staple the pages together but I wanted it to look better. Suggestions?
