Powerpoint on a MacBook pro high Sierra

Hello,

I have just installed powerpoint in a new brand Mcbook pro. While working on a presentation, and clicking on images or inserted forms to change its format, the transition among the home toolbar and the picture format one is not instantaneous, it is somehow slowed.

I was used to work with a windows HP computer and that didn't happen. It was completely instantaneous. I have contacted apple, made a check to the computer and everything is ok. Is there any explanation from a software point of view?

Thanks,

Carles

    Hi Carlesmur,

According to your description, I suggest you try the following steps:

1)Quit all running applications and start up your PowerPoint with Mac safe mode.

2)Insert a picture into PowerPoint presentation and change its format to check if the issue persists.

If the issue still occurs, please provide the following information to understand your situation so we can better assist you:

1)Your PowerPoint version(Go to PowerPoint>about PowerPoint) and Mac OS version and Mac system configuration. From the Apple  menu in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. The version of your operating system appears beneath “macOS” or “OS X” in the window that opens. If you need to know the build, click the version.

2)Please check if the issue occurs to all presentations?

    Regards,

    Virgil

Just to be sure - check your install to make sure it is up to date

Install Mac OS X updates first:

To get Mac OS updates, go to the App store on your dock, and then click the Updates button to reveal available updates.

    Then Install Office Updates

    To get the update:

    1. Open any Office application
    2. Go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates
    3. Let AutoUpdate check for and install updates
    4. Restart your Mac
