That is of no use whatsoever. Basic security dicatates that end users to not have local administrative rights to the system however all the deployment "options" for office require the end user to have local administrative rights.

Please provide the .msi so the package can be installed without user intervention and requiring breaking basic security configurations.

    Hi Nick,

Deploying C2R edition of Skype for Business using GPO doesn't require a local administrator role for end users.

If you do prefer a MSI edition of Skype for Business and your MSI Office program is Office Professional Plus 2016, please check if you can add Skype for Business 2016 via the steps: open Control Panel->Programs and Features->Right click Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016->change-> add or remove features. Or you can install MSI version of Skype for Business basic 2016. If you have any other questions regarding MSI edition, please post to Office -> unknown/others -> windows10 -> Office 2016, as this category mainly focus on C2R edition of Office when referring to the Office installation topic.

If you need any other assistance, feel free to start your own thread and we will keep assisting you from there.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Sky

    Hi Armankarimnia,

I see you post to Office 365 for Business category. If you are using Office 365 for Business, you should use C2R edtion of Skype for Business, not MSI version.

In this situation, you can use Office depolyment tool 2016 to download Skype for Business package. More information can be seen in the For larger and enterprise organizations part in this article: Deploy the Skype for Business client in Office 365

    Regards,

    Sky
