Can’t turn off Auto-Capitalization on ios devices

Hi,

Word is the app that I regularly use to type on my iphone. However, I have some issue when using it: Something wrong with the auto-capitalization.

For example:

At the start of a line I would type:

sich

And then when I input a space or go to the next line that word would be capitalized:

Sich

In addition, I do not turn on ‘auto-capitalization’ in iphone’s settings nor the cap-lock. Is this a bug?

Please help, this problem is so annoying for me.

Thank you so much.

    Hi Vuvanvietj,

In updating the Word app, was there no recent update that is available? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the app? We also recommend that you try to contact your mobile phone services, their update will be most helpful to resolve our issue.

Let us know how it went for further help.

    Hello,

Settings misconfiguration in Word on your device is one of the possible reasons why it automatically auto capitalize the words you type. That being said, we advise checking if the Auto-Correctionfeature is on. If so, we advise turning it off and check if the issue will occur. Here's the link where you can find the instructions on how to do so. In case it is already turned off, we would like to know more about this concern. Kindly answer the following questions:

    • Did you make any changes to your Word app and to your device prior to this concern?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Meanwhile, we advise updating the Word app if there are updates available and check if you will still experience the same issue. If so, kindly uninstall and reinstall the app.

Feel free to get back to us should you need further assistance.
