9" high x 12" wide envelopes are a common size in North America to insert 8.5" x 11" documents before distributing them.
When printing on envelopes in Word there are many envelope sizes presented but not the common 9 x 12 size.
To print on this envelope size, the ability to create a custom size is present but it involves many necessary keystrokes. Additionally, Word does not seem to automatically retain all of those custom sizes settings once the application is closed.
Currently, I am using the work around of 13" Legal (8.5" x 13")which is the closest pre-made envelope size that Microsoft seems to offer.
I am aware of the two methods to print on envelopes.
1). Via the Mailings tab
2). Via the Page Layout/ Size tab
I prefer the second as it allows me to print Return Address graphics on the envelope.
I also know that I could print labels and stick them on the envelope but not all people like this appearance.
I am using Word 2007 but one of my customers has the latest Office 365 with the same limitations.
Is there something that I am missing re this common envelope size?
