REMOVING PARAGRAPH NUMBERING NOT MANUALLY

Regrettably, I used the multilevel list paragraph numbering option for my document of 90 pages.  Now I wish to remove the numbers, but there seems to be no way this can be done without doing it paragraph by paragraph by hand.  HELP!  Surely this is not reasonable!!

I would hope that you applied the numbering using the methods shown at How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Ribbon Versions of Word by Shauna Kelly.

Can you modify the style to remove the numbers [and indents]?

In each such style you've used, you modify the style.

Choose Format on the modify dialog and then Numbering. Click on None and OK. That will remove the numbering settings for that style.

If your numbering is not through styles, i.e., applied directly using the buttons, I expect it could be cleared using vba but that is beyond my competence.
