I am getting this error, but I only have 20 columns?  I understand you can have up to 32?

Any ideas?

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the screenshots. However, we need the exact Office version to see if we can reproduce the issue in the same version to check whether it is an issue happening in a specific version.

Please provide us the screenshot about the version via File > Account > Product Information. To protect your privacy, please help us mask any email address information. For example:

In the meantime, we would like to collect the information below:

  1. Does the issue only happen to this specific sheet or workbook? Or does the issue happen to all workbooks even a new created one?
  2. If the issue only happens to a specific workbook, please copy content to a new created one to see the result. If this doesn’t help, please provide us the problematic workbook for more investigation. To collect the workbook, I have sent you a private message. Please access via this link.

Thanks,

Rena

    Hi Ryan,

Yes the limitation of the fields in data form is 32, to clarify you situation, would you please share the screenshot of the error message so we can clarify your situation?

Also, we have tested on our side and the data form works fine when we add over 20 columns in the form. So we'd like to confirm the following information to narrow down the problem.

    1. Please check the sheet again to make sure the columns are under 32.
    2. If you copy the data to a newly created sheet, will the error message comes again?
    3. Please provide the version of Excel to us, you can check it in File > Account.

    Regards,

    Tisky
