I am on a Windows 7 Professional SP1 pc. Access 2013 is installed. PC is 64 bit so I assume Access is as well. I do not have an ODBC driver for Access. Can you tell me where to download and how to install please?  Thanks.

I need the 64 bit ODBC driver for Access. I understand that SysWOW64 allows me to run 32 bit apps on a 64 bit system and I have used both the 32 and 64 bit versions to create the datasource. Both give me the error I posted.  Can I use a 64 bit Access driver to create an ODBC datasource that Access 2013 32 bit will accept? I believe the driver file I am looking for is

"Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)"Thank you.

Access/Office don't have to match bitness with the OS.  Actually the recommended install is 32-bit straight from Microsoft.  You'd need to check under account to see what your installation is, but by default Office installs 32-bit, so unless you went out of your way to install the 64-bit version, i doubt you are running it.

ODBC drivers for what exactly?  What are you trying to do?

Driver to connect to what exactly?  Different DBs require different drivers, so to which DB do you need to connect to exactly?  SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, ...?  The vendor of the application you are trying to connect to should be able to provide you with the proper drivers.

Also, on a 64 bit machine there are 2 version of the odbcad ....exe program.  I for 32 bit and 1 for 64 bit.  Are you sure you've been using the right one?

On my system, one is located in (is used to create and maintain data source names for 64-bit applications)

    C:\Windows\System32

while the second is located in (is used to create and maintain data source names for 32-bit applications)

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64

The whole thing is completely counter intuitive as the 64-bit version is in the 32 folder and the 32-bit version is in the 64 folder?!  Don't ask!

Before downloading/installing new drivers you might want to check the above.

Good morning Daniel,  I still need the 64 bit ODBC driver for Access. The utility and application that uses the database is 64 bit so I get an error when I load with 32 bit driver. Can you tell me where to get the 64 bit version? Thanks.

Thank you for responding Daniel. I am using a utility that copies database files to and from a proprietary file that allows easy transportation between systems. The installed version of Access is 32 bit and the pc is 64 bit. When I run the odbcad32.exe program from the System32 the utility runs without error but does not update the database from the text file as expected. I am able to use the utility load the text file to SQL Server database and I will use that as a work around. I have a couple more tests to try and I will keep you posted if I cannot get it to work. Thanks again.
