The concept of Log is only for positive numbers not for negative number. Hence, Excel's behaviour is correct.

In a simple excel calculation I found the negative numbers of LOG10 with the following syntax:
=LOG10(-1)
Excel resolves with
#NUM!
There is a way to calculate it?
