I really like the new Section Zoom in PPT (Office365).

I am also a big fan of sharing PPT's online with OneDrive instead of handing out .PPT files or static .PDF.

I am pretty sure that when I first learned about Section Zoom that I did a little test and it worked online.

If try to use it now the function is not available. Clicking the icon does not make the presentation branch to the section.

Is there a trick to get this working?

Hi Christian,

Sorry for my misunderstanding in the first reply.

The section zoom or slide zoom function is not available in PowerPoint online. We suggest you send feedback to PowerPoint online UserVoice to help improve our products and service. This is the best way to let the related team know users' requirements and comments.

We appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

Tina

That's a ridiculous answer. Do you not know what Section Zoom is?

    Hi Christina,

We'd like to confirm if the "Section Zoom" in PowerPoint online which you mentioned is like the followings:

    1)in the View tab>Zoom

2)Or Step1 Zoom Level, click to open the Zoom dialog box, Step 2 will show up :

If yes, you may try using Internet Explorer or the InPrivate Browsing of it, sign in Office 365>click PowerPoint in the App Launcher to open PowerPoint online, then check if you can find the Zoom icon in the lower right corner or under the View tab.

You can also try using other web browsers(Chrome/Firefox) and check the outcome.

If not, please provide the information below for us to better understand the situation:

1.Provide a related screenshot about "Clicking the icon does not make the presentation branch to the section".

Note: to protect your privacy, please mask any personal or private information in the screenshots before sharing.

2.Do other people in our company have the same issue?

    Regards,

    Tina

    Hi Tina,

    1.    it did not come to my mind that it is necessary to explain that "Section Zoom" is different from view "View --> Zoom"
    2.    My question was not how to do it in Power Point Desktop. If you read my message, I like it, it works.

My question related to whether it is possible to use this function when view a PPT online.

Maybe you can/should escalate the question.

    regards

    Christian
