    Hi,

I import a scanned image of my signature saved in .png format with the background set to be transparent.

Then, once I do that, I select the graphic image in the Word document and create an AutoCorrect entry for it. Mine is named mysig.

Then, when I want to insert a signature I simply type "mysig" without the quotation marks and press either the space bar or enter. I may have to reposition the signature that is imported.

Here is my web page on AutoCorrect, AutoText and Building Blocks.

The Microsoft article to which YohandiCrespo has referred you contains the information you need (which he has copied without attribution) and more. One additional tidbit that might be useful: If your signature is a bold, dramatic one, which would ordinarily overlap the printed text when you write it by hand, you will want to insert it overlapping the text in the document. You can either put it Behind Text or, if you have used an image format that supports transparency and made the background transparent, In Front of Text.

    Hello my name is Yohandi

It is a pleasure to have your participation in the Microsoft Community.

To add the handwritten signature in Word documents follow the steps below.

Create and insert a handwritten signature

You need a scanner to do this.

1- Write your signature on a piece of paper.

2- Scan the page and save it on your computer in a common file format: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, or .png.

    3- Open the image file.

4- To crop the image, click to open the Picture Tools Format tab, click Crop, and then crop the image.

5- Right-click the image, and then click Save as Picture to save the picture as a separate file.

6- To add the signature to a document, click Insert> Pictures.
