Thank you all so much for your help.  I figured out that I had a page break in the spreadsheet that I had forgotten about.  It's all fixed.  thank you!!!!!!

I would try this. Copy the data, not the worksheet, and paste into a new file. Now see if Print Area works.

No, that isn't working for me.  I recent;y purchased a new laptop and got Office365 with it.  I am familiar with excel and setting print areas, but for some reason, I can't make this work.  Wonder if it has anything to do with that fact that my spreadsheet was created before I got me new Windows 10 software.

Hi TNorton, does the following not work in Excel for you:

Select a range of cells, then on the Page layout ribbon, click Print Area - Set Print Area

No, I don't believe that simply creating the file in an earlier version is causing this problem.

Is it possible that the print area has been locked using this technique:

Excel allows you to specify an area of your worksheet that should be printed. Here's how to "lock" that area so it cannot be changed.

Have you tried clearing the print area before setting the new one:

    Clearing the Print Area

Article Synopsis: Excel allows you to specify which portions of a worksheet should be printed when you send output to your printer. If you want to get rid of a defined print area, there are a couple of ways you can do it.
