Word cant print due to a problem with printer setup

Hi so I have tried everything: Upgrade Printer drivers Canon MF230. I tried re installing Word and Printers, I tried setting other printer as default. Nothing has helped once you reboot you can print once then system does not recognise printer and doesn't show print preview and I cannot print further. Where is microsfot with this problem.?

    1. Is this the problem with only Word or with other apps of MS Office such as Excel also?
    2. Does it allow you to print to pdf?

    Before I give troubleshooting steps, I would request you to provide following information -

    1. What is your Mac OS version? 10.13.4, 10.13.3....
    2. What is your Office version? 16.13, 16.12, 16.11, 15.41....
    3. Has the problem started recently particularly after an update or was it always there?

    So it pops up all dialogues to print to PDF but doesn't save it. Works fine in Excel and power point only in word is there a problem???
