Azure SQL Managed instance - Reducing the amount of storage

Hello,

We would like to reduce the amount of storage for our Azure SQL managed instance defined with the General Purpose level.
Has anyone done this before? If so, can you tell us the estimated duration for this operation (from 512GB to 256GB) and whether or not a service interruption is necessary?

    As I understand you want to reduce the amount of storage for our Azure SQL-managed instance and want to know the estimated duration.

    it's a metadata-only change, should be super quick, and not require any downtime. you can find more information here
