Split from this thread.

I am having the same issue.  We just upgraded to Office 2016 and had OneDrive Share issues and corrected the permissions which didn't transfer over.  Now we can edit or save files and gives us the below error.  Upload Blocked and Read-Only.

Microsoft 365 and Office | OneDrive | For home | Windows

Hello.

I have copied and pasted the solution that fixed it for us that was provided by Office 365 support below.  I was informed that the issue should be fixed in a later patch.

First of all, please close everything, delete the cache and test one more time the behavior. Afterwards try:

Please navigate to RegEdit as admin and create the following:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity

Right-click the entry, and then select New. Add a new DWORD value to the registry called NoDomainUser, and then set it to a value of 1.

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\EnableADAL

Right-click the entry, and then select New. Add a new DWORD value to the registry called EnableADAL, and then set it to a value of 0.

Hope it helps.

    Hi Express Cash Flow,

Have you tried the following suggestion one by one to check if that will be helpful for your scenario.

1.Go to Control Panel>User Accounts>Credential Manager>General Credentials>Remove the credentials related to MicrosoftOffice16_Data. Then check if the error message still exists in Excel files.

2.Go to OneDrive Settings>Account> Unlink this PC>Unlink account to unlink OneDrive (unlink personal and Office 365 accounts), then sign in OneDrive to sync your files to PC again.

3.Delete the cached files in Microsoft Office Upload Center, click Settings(gear)>Delete cached files, then check if the error message still exists in Excel files.

4.Sign out your Office account in Office 2016> Update your Office version> Sign in with your Office 365 account, then edit and save your files in OneDrive for business.

If you have tried the above suggestion, and the problem persists, you may subscribe to this thread, the issue has been submitted to our relevant team for further investigation.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, you may try to disable the "Use Office 2016 to sync files I open" as a workaround.

    Regards,

    Moja
