I am trying to turn on Grammar Checking in PowerPoint but even though I checked that option for PowerPoint in Options, it only does spell check.

Hello PatRobertson2. In PPT, go to File > Options > Proofing > Check grammar with spelling (make sure it is checked). Click OK and press F7 to run spell check.

I just testing in PowerPoint 2016 (O365 subscription for Windows 10) and it worked for me. Let me know if it works for you. One screenshot attached.
