How To Re-Position Vertical Scrollbar???

Anonymous
2018-06-17T16:29:07+00:00

In Office 2013 the vertical scrollbar appeared directly to the right side of my document in print layout and when the Navigation window is opened up the scrollbar MOVED LEFT and positioned itself BETWEEN the print layout and the navigation window.

They I up graded to Office 2016... and now...

In Office 2016 the vertical scrollbar appears on the right side of my document in print layout (like it should) however when the Navigation window is opened up the scrollbar REMAINS AT THE FAR RIGHT SIDE and the navigation window and because it does not move left the Navigation window COVERS UP THE SCROLLBAR.

Is there a way to get the scrollbar to move to the left when the Navigation window is opened just like it did when using Office 2013???

THANKS!!!

Bill

You can drag the Navigation pane to the left until it docks in the Word window.

    Stefan that was it!!!

I dragged the navigation window all the way to the right side edge and kept moving it and then it snapped to full length and it is locked there with the slider in between.

I'm glad I could help. Thanks for the feedback.

    Stefan that was it!!!

I dragged the navigation window all the way to the right side edge and kept moving it and then it snapped to full length and it is locked there with the slider in between.

Then when I "X" out of the navigation the Word page goes full screen and the slider moved to the right side edge.  Press the find button and my navigation panel is back where I wanted it.

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not know how to describe it other than with this screen shot...When the navigation window is no enabled the scrollbar is to the far right of the sccreen as you would expect.

Then in Office 2013 the scroll bar will re-position itself to the left when the navigation window is opened up so I can see it and use it.  This is what I want...

In Office 2016 the scrollbar will just stay at the far right side of the screen and the navigation window will cover up the scrollbar so I cannot see nor use it.

Is there a way to change settings so the scrollbar will move to the left just like it did in Office 2013?

    THANKS!!!

Hi Bill, do you mean you want the document scrollbar to be beside the scrollbar in the Navigation pane?

If so, sorry, there is no setting in Word 2016 to do that!
