Excel printing too small

Hello,

I have MS Excel 2010 and I am trying to increase my font size when printing. I have a two page sheet, printing in landscape on legal size paper and I need to have all columns on one page. I have 15 columns.  Here is what I have tried:

  • I have gone under the page setup dialog box, chose the "adjust to" feature and changed the percentage.  At the print function, I have to use the fit all columns on one page feature. When I do that, the print returns to small.
  • I have increased the row height and width and the column height and width.
  • I have decreased the amount of columns from 20 to 15. I can't get rid of anymore columns.
  • I have increased the font to 72.

None of these methods worked to increase the print on the paper. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

There is a good amount of white space in print preview. I have been able to adjust the margins a bit. I guess I need to delete more columns.

How much white space are you showing in print preview?

Can you adjust margins to give you a bit more print area?

If your needs are to fit all 15 columns on one page then you are stuck with Excel shrinking the font size to meet your wishes.

Alternative is to buy a plotter.
