How do I set preferences to print double sided from Word when there is no choice for double sided in the print dialog? Then how do I reset it when I need single sided?

As Jordan indicated, in the Print dialog open the Copies & Pages dropdown then select Layout. Regarding the other portion of your inquiry, that choice pertains only to the current print job. The setting reverts to Single-Sided based on the Default Settings... IOW, you need to select Two-Sided each time you wan to invoke it unless you change the Default Settings for your printer.

Please disregard the screen shot provided by Phillip. The Print dialog differs depending on the program calling for the service as well as the options available for the printer being used. His screen shot is a totally different type of Print dialog & the one for Word includes no such check box.

Your Printer Screen may differ depending upon Manufacturer. But go to File Menu → Print.

The above window or screen comes up (look depends upon the brand of Printer).

Click on the checkbox for "Two-sided." Click again to remove.

    Hi ChristineGandel,

Usually office detects whether or not your printer can perform double sided printing using the printer driver.

Does your printer support this? if so ensure that you have installed the full driver for the printer.

Then when you select print in office, next to your printer name there should be a little arrow, when you press this, it should expand the options, select the layout and you should see an option for 'Two Sided'

if this doesnt work can you share a screenshot of your printing options?
