Installation has taken over 2 hours so far. Is this normal?

Hi Branda, in that case it has more than likely stalled, it would be best to stop that and start over . . .

Use this tool from Microsoft to remove all remnants of a previous Office Installation:

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Uninst...

Then go to http://www.office.com and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in

On the Office home page, select Install Office - Install

Hi Brenda, that doe seem excessive . . .

Do you have a fast Internet Connection?

If so, that is overly long, does the installation seem to be progressing?

Do you have a hard drive LED indicator on the side of your PC, if so, is there intermittent hard drive activity?

No it isn't, but if your hardware is ancient, it is to be expected. I have seen worse on very old and very slow hardware.

Could you give more information about your computer hardware, did you install from DVD, network or internet, did you see any errors?
