How to leave a 'shared with me' notebook

Last year a colleague shared a bunch of notebooks with me. This year I have no need for the information in that thread, so I want to leave those particular notebooks 'shared with me' completely. I don't want access anymore. How can I unshare myself from a shared notebook (not created by me)? I want to do this without having to ask my colleagues to remove me from their notebooks.

Thank you,

W Dijkstra

It's not what you wanted, but to completely remove your ability to re-access the notebook, you'll have to ask the sharer to remove your access to because once they share with you, you can re-access it anytime if you want.

It's been requested before, you can vote on it for the developers to add the ability to do that here:

Thank you for your reply. I tried what was posted in that thread, unfortunately it's only half a solution. If I delete the folder share in onedrive this message is shown:

'If you remove this folder, you’ll still have access to it, but it won’t appear here'

The point is, I don't want access anymore, I want the share completely removed, without having to ask the owner for it... it's like getting actual paper copies of a file and not being able to throw them in the bin. Instead I have to hide them in another file cabinet...

    Thank you regardless!

    Just close those notebooks.
