MICROSOFT OFFICE FOR MAC 2018

Excel is a complete mess. I've written several times to no avail and am ready to return the $150 product as useless and find an alternative.

First, I copied a row to paste to another row, and it will not deselect the selected row no matter what you do. I even tried manual deselect... still nothing. Then I tried to copy another row and paste that. The first row I tried to paste shows up hilighted again, even after I paste the second selection. If I try to insert a row the first copied selection hilights again. It's rediculous. I spent from 1130pm to 430am updating some banking items that usually takes me 10 minutes TOPS. I have to manually deselect the first copied row again, then save and exit out of the document and go back into it to get it to let me do anything else. Then if I tried to edit a copied cell, it won't let me select it. I tried double clicking and it made the cell disappear. This is insane. I had your Microsoft Tech Support proxy into my computer to remove all the old Office stuff, and load the new. It has been a problem from day one. I purchased this cardboard thing with a code on it from Sam's Club in Naples FL. Please advise before I pull my hair out. I have major repairs to make from a flood before I can have surgery for injuries incurred in the hurricane and the flood. I can't get my work done with this lemon. FIX IT

First, after you use Paste, press the Esc key on your keyboard to remove the selection indicator from the copied range.

Second, are you sure you were actually talking with a Microsoft employee and not an imposter? I would never let anyone have access to my. computer.

Third, make sure Office is up to date. Go to the Excel menu and choose About Excel to find the version you have. It should be 16.15

If you have any other version, install updates to replace your current install.

Make sure your Mac has a working internet connection before checking for updates. Install Mac OS X updates followed by Office updates.

Install Mac OS X updates first:

To get Mac OS updates, go to the App store on your dock, and then click the Updates button to reveal available updates.

    Then Install Office Updates

    To get the update:

    1. Open any Office application
    2. Go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates
    3. Let AutoUpdate check for and install updates
    4. Restart your Mac

If you have any add-ins such as WebEx, Mendelay, EndNote, Zotero, TypeIt4me, etc it is essential that you install the latest updates for your add-ins.
