Microsoft Office Accounting 2009

I have recently reinstalled this software to a new computer. I have tested the installation and it works absolutely fine both with the sample companies provided by Microsoft and a new company I have created.

I have taken data the backup file (.sbb) from the original installation on the other laptop and restored it to the new installation. The back up file has restored successfully into the new company record. No problems and no errors.

However when I try to open the company I am getting a message saying

" Incompatible locale between company database and application. Log On Failed."

A company I create in the new installation works just fine, until I restore the .sbb back up to it, after which I get this message. Can anyone help?

That is so kind. I'm travelling for a meeting in London today, but will try this when I'm home tomorrow.

    Hi,

Thanks for your help. I didn't  know there were country versions, but I suspect the original version is GB (United Kingdom) and the new installation from LO4D is a US version.

    Regards

    Jacqueline

Thats because the backup was created by an updated version of SBA (the sp level was updated) and you need that sp level SBA in order to open the backup.

What country version of SBA are you using?
