We recently received some new laptops with windows 11 and I cannot add them to the active directory. Member of "domain" is grayed out. And only shows "work group".
I will need them added to the directory to pass out to staff/students.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

    Hi,

Did you logged in with the local administrator account? Can you also check if the workstation service is started and running?

    Solution.
It was running windows home. To be added to a domain it needs to be running Windows Pro.

This doesn't answer, though, why WORKGROUP is greyed out. We want to use our own name not WORKGROUP.
