Excel PTO Tracker

I am using the PTO tracker for the first time and made some edits to fit the parameters of our time off options. I am having an issue with the color coding in regards to adding a new type of leave. It is the only part of that formula that I cannot get to change. As in - I added a new type of leave on the correct tab and in the calendar view. I changed the color of the addition and included the "accent" yet when I go to an employee with this leave the color coding does not appear in the calendar view. How do I make this happen?

As Alex has asked, please supply us the download link or the EXACT name you search for in Excel. I could not find anything using "PTO".

Actually, if you could upload a small example file version of your problem file itself, remove or obscure sensitive data. Reduce the data rows to just enough rows to demonstrate what you want done. Most of the time we don't need more than a few dozen (at MOST) rows of data.  Add descriptive text to the sheet to explain your problem, what you are seeing and what you want to see.

Frankly, the chance of finding anyone on this forum who has direct experience with that specific template is miniscule.  But, if you describe your problem/need in detail there are enough of us who given a chance to look at the file/template can probably answer your questions directly or guide you to the answer.

Upload Example - Trouble Shooting - Share OneDrive File

Trouble shooting problems in files can be like a visit to the dentist, a long, slow painful process of us trying to “extract” the clues needed to recognize the problem in a back and forth flow of questions and answers so that we can come up with a / “the” solution.

Often it is faster and easier for everyone if we have a “sample file” to look at, and “play with”.

This next link provides some tips on setting up a sample file and uploading it for us to access:

    Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your sharing. I tried to find the PTO Tracker template and did not find the template with the exact name, but I found a similar one with the leave type and calendar view, the name of the template is Employee attendance tracker: https://templates.office.com/en-us/Employee-attendance-tracker-TM02780235

If that is the template you downloaded, here is a thread you could refer to first: Employee Attendance Tracker.

If not, could you share the webpage you downloaded PTO Tracker? So that we could download the file and try to figure out how it works.

    Regards,

    Alex

I’m sorry, I thought I mentioned that this is a Microsoft template I downloaded from the Microsoft website. I’m not sure that will help though, unless you have also downloaded the same template.

The formulas, I would guess, we’re put in place by Microsoft and they read across several tabs of information.

Again, I am looking for someone who has experience with this specific Microsoft template.

    Hello,

this is impossible to answer without more context. What is a PTO tracker?

What colour coding? Are you using conditional formatting?

    What formula?

Please understand that we cannot see what's on your screen and you will need to help us help you.
