Hi there,
I opened my computer and tried to open a blank word document to write on.
I got this message: "The item 'WINWORD.EXE' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?
It turns out that this also happens when I try to open EXCEL.
thanks for your advice/help

Hi Margaret,
1.
Follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .
Open Control Panel - Programs and Features
Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications
At the top, click 'Change'
On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix
That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .
2.
If Office does not appear in the list of installed applications:
Go to https://office.com/myaccount and sign in using your Microsoft account, if prompted
Select Install
Under Install information, locate that PC which Office was installed on
Select Deactivate Install to deactivate the Office installation and keep your Office installation count correct
Then, click Install to install Office
thanks!
thanks!
