Forgot to uninstall Office 2016 Pro Plus before installing Office 365

I forgot to uninstall all of office 2016 pro plus before installing office 365.  The Microsoft website let me download the Office 365.  It then installed on my PC (on top of the existing software).

When I opened up Word > File > Account, it doesn't show my Office 365 Subscription but the Office 2016 Pro along with an annoyed highlight "This product is unlicensed. ...." I tried to uninstall all MS Office, tried many ways to make a clean removal and then re-install the Office 365 only but I later open the Word and it still shows the Office 2016 information. How can I remove that such annoying? How do I get myself out of this?

Remember the apps will say Office 2016 regardless, but if the apps are not activating,

The Support and Recovery Assistant app runs on Windows PCs and can help you identify and fix activation issues with Office 365.

Try using that to see if it resolves the problem.

If you don't get access to the suite, please contact support and they will be able to investigate and determine whats the cause.

    Hi Dave,

Many thanks for your advice, I've tried this tool many times already, but the Office 2016 still remain somewhere, after restarting and re-install Office 365, the Office 2016 license information still appear again :(
