Opening multiple word documents on iPad Pro

Hello,

My main device is the iPad Pro iOS 12.1 and I can’t seem to open multiple word documents at once using the split view function. I’m wondering if there is a way to do this or if new updates for the app might incorporate this as a new function. I would appreciate any information available on this.

Thanks!

I’d like that too. Another, even better solution for me would be to have tabs with different documents within Word (etc), similar to tabs in your browser or in Onenote.

    Hi Denise,

It is true that you can use the split view or multitasking function of your device to work with two apps at the same time. However, you may only do this with 2 different apps most of the time. For example, a Word document and an Excel file. Please note that the said function is from your device and not from the applications that you are using.

I'd recommend contacting your devices' support team to help you out with the information on where you can possibly send this feedback as an innovative idea that they may incorporate in their future updates.
