Office365 and MFA authentication Options

Is there is way to allow users to authenticate with an alternate email address rather than a phone number? When setting users up in MFA, I only see options for the phone and not an alternate email address.

Thanks!

TB

Hi TB2019,

Use email address as Office365 MFA authentication Options may become a flexible authentication method. However, I'd like to explain that there only four MFA authentication Options:

  1. A randomly generated pass code.
  2. A phone call.
  3. A smart card (virtual or physical).
  4. A biometric device.

For your reference: Plan for multi-factor authentication for Office 365 Deployments.

If you want more MFA authentication Options, I'd like to suggest you vote this UserVoice to providing your feedback. I appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

Neo
