How do I get rid of the right-hand column in a Word document?

a problem with cleaning up a word doc for final printing it has a right hand column that was originally placed there as part of a smart service offered through ms word and I have not been able to get rid of it

    it is a news paper style column the thing is it doesn't show up in the tool bar as a column in other words  the column exists

    within the document and I cant figure out how to get rid of it I will attempt to place the screen shot in this window

    attempt to place a

    sample document in the one drive you mention

    once I figure  out what it is  and how I can access it

    If you have more columns than you need, you can reduce the number of columns using Page Layout | Page Setup | Columns | More Columns...

    Is this a table column? A newspaper-style column? A text box? Can you provide a screen shot? Or upload a sample document to OneDrive and post a link here?
