My word opens but nothing shows on the screen when I open a document up.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

    That usually means the font is not available on the current machine that was used when the file was last saved. Try command-a to select all the text, then choose a different font.

    It could also mean that your installation needs updating. Please go to the Word menu and choose About Word to display your version and then reply here with the version number.
