here we are again. 2 weeks after my last complaint of excel not uploading. with ZERO tech support except to hope that someone else has already had this problem and by some miracle they figured it out. made a change to an excel file and the auto save went off. tried to upload file again to onedrive and it failed. tried to restart the computer. Did that work? i sure everyone with excel knows the answer. Can anyone please do microsoft's job and help me for free?

i have done the following
May I ask if are you getting an " Upload Blocked Error "
If yes, please open click the Cloud icon on your task bar >>Settings >>Click Office tab >> Uncheck Use office 2016 to sync files i open" -> click ok. Done!
Close- re-open your Excel file and try to upload or saved
If no, please let us know
the autosave has been and is currently checked. This is happening with all the office 365 products. the software is up to date. when i got into work this morning it had magically started working. I didnt have to upload or resave anything. I have tried to delete it off onedrive and re upload it. that didnt work either. this has to be something on the software end. what good is it if it randomly works. I do appreciate your help. Do you have any other suggestions?
i will try it next time its not working
Hi EnergyMech,
Sorry for the bad user experience.
AutoSave is enabled when a file is stored on OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, or SharePoint Online. Please also go to File > Options > Save and make sure you have checked the box next to AutoSave OneDrive and SharePoint Online files by default on Excel.
To check if this issue is file related, please create a new file in OneDrive then check if you can use AutoSave normally. If so, that means this issue may file related, please copy all contents from the issue related one then paste them into the newly created workbook to see the outcome.
Since you said you can't upload that file normally, please save your workbook into your local drive then delete that file from OneDrive. After that, upload that file via OneDrive online to check if you can edit it with AutoSave successfully.

Besides, please also share with me more info as below to let me have a better understanding of your scenario:
