Office install error 30015-11 (2147942405)

I have been running Office 365 on my laptop for several years. A few weeks ago it forced me sign in again every time I opened any of the apps. Yesterday it told me my subscription had expired (it hadn't). When I tried to reconnect my account it failed every time. I uninstalled Office and tried reinstall and keep getting the error in the subject line.

I have tried uninstalling with the app here several times. I have ran the systems file checker and there are no problems.

Please advise.

    Hey,

I dont know if you have solved the problem, but I got exactly the same error after the exactly the same sign in problem for a month now.

After so long I actually solved it yesterday so this might help you too.

Make sure you have the latest Windows Update installed.

I had the Windows 10 version 1803 and the latest is 1809.  ( I am sure you are not stupid so you know how to check in, but to look that up: right click on start button and click on System )

After installing the update you need to restart your PC and you can start to install the MS Office.

At least that was my case and it helped.

One last thing, you dont need to uninstall all the office products to make it work.

I think this error is that you have old version of Windows that does not support some new Office updates.

    Cheers,

    Daniel

I just reimaged/reinstalled windows and it still gives the same error.

Same case here :(  This is the forth time I am trying to reinstall.  I still don't understand why my license expired since I have renewed it on November (annual fee).  Where is the support offered as a selling promise????

Ever since I bought this thing online it has not been resolved nor do I have access to any proper help from Microsoft. There is NO support what so ever.. we are obligated to help ourselves through others here.. which is totally ridiculous... since January this is not resolved at all..

I want out of this, I want to be refunded !!!

I've been having the same issue for the last few days. Started around March the 20th or so. I noticed there were several antivirus updates around the same time so I figured maybe it was a virus. So I shut down click to run and onedrive then ran all my antivirus and rootkit analyzers but nothing was found. Then I tried to change the login (it seemed to want to go back to my windows login and when I tried to make it a different account it would fight and not transfer). Then I tried to run the change/repair/online repair route but got the error ending 2405. I tried to reinstall office and got the error. I tried uninstalling using windows uninstall and then reinstall with the same error. I then uninstalled and ran my antivirus (found nothing) then reinstalled, same error. Then I uninstalled, searched through the manual uninstall to make sure everything was gone (it was) then attempted reinstall, same error. Uninstalled, tried the sfc/scannow and it found no issues then attempted to reinstall, same error. The only thing I can think is a recent update to microsoft office is forcing office to only login to the same account you are logged into the computer (stupid!!) which if it doesn't have office purchased (I use my school's free for students version of office but my personal login so two different microsoft accounts) then it errors out. I just don't understand why it wont' reinstall unless there is a problem with the account not being able to login properly.  P.S. the reinstall goes until about 80% before it gives the error. I turned off ALL my firewalls before attempting reinstall to ensure this was not an issue as well.

    Hi,

I'm Diego Rios, an Independent Advisor willing to help other Microsoft customers.

I suggest you to perform the uninstall Office 2016 with the Microsoft tool and then perform the procedures for manual uninstall, also I recommended to delete all Office activation keys through the CMD are install it on the PC. Please follow up the procedures below:

    1. You must run the following commands in CMD to disable previous versions of Office installed on your computer:

Run the following commands, look for the System Symbols program (Command Prompt) and right click and open as Administrator.

Search the full path to find out which folder Office is installed on your PC.

CD .. Until you get to directory C:

    Example:

    cd "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Office \ Office16" or cd "C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Office \ Office16"

    Then, execute the following commands

    cscript ospp.vbs / dstatus

    script ospp.vbs / rearm

Observe the result and copy the KEY which is 5 digits and paste them in the next command.

    cscript ospp.vbs / unpkey: GVGXT

After removing all the keys, run the following command for activation.

    cscript ospp.vbs / act

    1. Uninstall Office from a PC computer:

    1. Uninstall Office manually:

    https://support.office.com/es-es/article/desins...

    1. Remove all Microsoft Office16 / 15 credentials in Control Panel >> Credentials Manager >> Windows Credentials >> then remove all the Microsoft Office credential.
    2. Restart the computer, and then log in to the user's Office 365 Portal and perform the Office 2016 installation again.

Please let me know if this helped and works.

    Best Regards,

    Diego R.
