I appreciate your response Meredith. I’ve also encountered the same message on the iPad device at our end when I’ve signed out the Microsoft account that’s currently being used in the PowerPoint application version 2.22(190202). See these screenshots:

The PowerPoint for iPad is requiring for an Office 365 subscription to be able to use the Presenter View feature.

However, as what was mentioned, you’re able to view the same presentation using your iPhone and able you’re to see the notes while in the presenter view. In line with this, can you confirm the version of PowerPoint app installed on your iPad and on your iPhone? Can you take a screenshot of the exact presentation that’s on Presenter View on your iPhone and share with us? Please also verify if the account that’s currently signed in to your iPhone has a subscription using the same account with your iPad.

    Hi Louie,

Sorry for my delayed response. The issue was for sure tied to being signed into a 365 account. As you suspected, I was signed into 365 on my iPhone (a work phone) but not on my iPad (a personal device). Once I used my work account credentials on the iPad, I was able to click the "Presenter View" and see the corresponding presenter notes.

Thanks for your help sorting this out!

    Meredith

Thank you for your directions Louie. Myself and a colleague are each testing this on our own iPads. We both see the "presenter view" button, however, when we click it nothing happens. We are prompted to login to our MS 365 accounts. But we do not have 365 subscriptions. When I view the same presentation on my iPhone, though, I am able to see the notes while in presenter view.

    Hi Meredith,

I’d just want to confirm if you’re pertaining to the notes that can be added on each slides that serve as additional information to be used when presenting the slides in PowerPoint for iPad. If so, you may refer to these steps and screenshots as I’ve tried checking it using an iPad device available at our end:

If the notes are already added, you should be able to see or edit the notes once you click on Notes located in the lower right corner of PowerPoint.

Now, to view the added notes while in the Presenter View, you’ll need to click on the icon that looks like a paper. See this:

If you would like me to provide additional advice, simply respond to this thread. I will get notified and I’ll reply to you as soon as I can.
