Microsoft Project - How to display calendar week numbers in the timeline/time scale top/middle/bottom tier?

I'm really trying hard to have the timeline/timescale top/middle/bottom tier to show the real calendar week numbers (from 1 to 52)

When planning and communicating with my customers, the real week numbers are very important, and a good way to illustrate when to do what, and when to e.g. stop a production line for two weeks ....

Hopefully this issue will be solved very fast - It's really a lack of functionality, and according to my search on the www, this issue has been persistent pain for many users for many years....

    Hi BR Poul,

Zoom In and Zoom Out feature act different in Project application when compared with other Office applications.

In general, Zoom In to get a close-up view of your file or Zoom Out to see more of the page at a reduced size. But, in Project application, Zoom In shows smaller time increment on the timescale and Zoom Out shows a larger time increment on the timescale.

When we use the both features, it changes the properties in the Timescale. (which is an expected behavior)

We totally understand the inconvenience caused by it and we request you add your vote and feedback in UserVoice as related team can take into consideration.

    Appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Thanks,

    Chitrahaas

    Poul,

Unfortunately, you seem to be using a non-ISO 8601 week numbering system, so Project may not be able to give you what you want....

Under ISO 8601, 2019-W01 began Monday 31Dec'18, and this week is 2019-W12.  (I'm sure you meant the week beginning 18Mar, not 18Apr.)

As I responded earlier, ISO week numbers are implemented as shown in the figure below.  You have said, "I can't display the calendar week numbers."  What happens when you use the labeling shown?

    Dear Tom.

First, my mis-typing about the week number ... this week is of course week 12 :-)

Second, yes, the ISO labelling 1,2..52,1,2..52 ... fulfill my requirement for now. However, it would be nice if it was possible to add e.g. prefix CW or similar....

Thank you for leading me to the solution... I was focused on labels including "Week" og "W" - not a simple numbering.

Yep. BUT next pain is, that the timeline display is changed automatically and reverted to default display if I zoom in/out on the project...

I just want the full control of what to be displayed at any zoom level. Microsoft Project determines what's best - but it is not!

    Dear Tom.

I can't display the calendar week numbers. From week 1 to week 52 each year.

Only "project week numbers" with prefix "W" are available, starting on the week where the project starts. The prefix "W" is not a mandatory need for displaying calendar week numbers. It could be e.g. "CW" for calendar week. CW01, CW02, CW03....CW49, CW50, CW51, CW52, CW01, etc...

Eg. this week (from monday 18'th of april) has calendar week number 11. CW11.

    BR

    Poul
