  1. I need help with the Modern team site logo. look at the pic below, it's 64*64 jpg, of course i really spent many days trying fixing, my interest was uploading transparent rectangular png(as our logo is rectangular, & jpg can't b transparent & modern site can only fit square 6464, accept jpg) , no avail with all trials , then, I portrait ed and it fits well, satisfied with the size, but I didn't like the white background

How can I remove the white background of my Jpg logo ? or how i can trick SP(in site assets) and upload png transparent image? or how to convert Jpg image to transparent?  luckily my logo color is light blue exactly like the nav bar and I liked it when it's transparent (u can see a bit in the logo image), It lets me upload PNG transparent(nice) but the next day it converts to Jpg in site assets and the transparency would be gone. And changes to the previous jpg images, hmm upsetting.   WELL, ALL I WANT IS TRANSPARENT IMAGE for my logo (help to REMOVE THE WHITE BACKGROUND by any means).ANY SUGGESTION ?

3rd, I don't see Location Column anywhere in my env. see pic, even in Documents, site library, site assets, custom list..no where. Any help/suggestion to check if there any feature has not been/should be activated or deactivated ? prior to opening a ticket with MSFT support.

Thank you all in advance

Jpg's don't support transparency. To remove the white background, open the jpg in photoshop or paint.net. Use the wizard tool to select the white background and delete it. Save it as a png. We're using a rectangular png logo and it worked for a while - until a bug in the last few days now adds a random background color. It's definitely a bug on Msft's end and I've posted here about it but support here doesn't seem to understand the problem so I'm submitting a service request to get it fixed.

Find the url for the image in the img tag using a browser inspector tool. Try that in another browser tab. I've noticed the public cdn Msft has started using can have strange outcomes.

    I'm having this same issue.

I'll upload a PNG with transparency as the SharePoint logo, and it displays correctly for perhaps 1 hour or so. Then at some point, it defaults back to the logo with a black background instead of transparent (as if converting to .jpeg or a picture format that does not support transparency).

    Hi MeEl,

    Welcome to this forum.

To change your site logo normally, please follow the steps below to do that:

    A. For a team site connected to an Office 365 group, you can try performing the following steps to change site logo:

    1)  Navigate to the team site, click Gear button on the upper-right corner>Site information, click change under site logo and then select a picture for the new site logo.

    2)  Click People tile from App Launcher and then click the group, click the group logo>click the pen icon on the logo to change a photo.

    3)  Go to siteurl//_layouts/15/prjsetng.aspx page to see if you can change site logo. For example, https://contoso.sharepoint.com/\_layouts/15/prjsetng.aspx

For classic team site, please try performing the followings:

    1)  Go to Site Settings>Look and Feel>Title, Description, and Logo.

    2)  Go to siteurl//_layouts/15/prjsetng.aspx.

Please have a try and share with me your outcome.

Besides, regarding the Location column, the image below are columns that we can create in SharePoint site:

To get dedicated support, please post a new thread with where you want to use the Location column and the type of it. Thanks for your understanding.

    Regards,

    Neo
