How to darken the text?

Is there a way to darken the text in a Word document?   My printer is getting up in years.  Its printing is getting fainter.  I do not find any settings to alter in the control for the printer.

In Apple Preview I found that the "Adjust Color" tool works on a JPEG file.  Preview then prints a more legible image.

I would like to do the same in Word but with text.  I would like Word to print darker text on paper.   I am talking about text here.  I hardly ever print images in Word.  Is there a way to do it?

I am in Word 16.16.10.

Wouldn't it be a good time to replace your printer? Some ink/toner suppliers will give you a printer for free if you buy their ink.

    Hi RG_957,

Thanks for query in our forum. Please allow me to explain about print setting about Word. In the Print window in Word for mac, there is no settings about darken text color. Settings about text color are all in theHome-> Toolbar. If you want to make text more clearer, you can choose the content and choose Bold in the navigation bar. Or change the content style to Strong in the Style setting. As replies above said, you may need to change settings in Printer of your mac to let the print become darker.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Regards,

    Ivy

This has absolutely nothing to do with printing nor does it remotely address the user's question.

    Hi. RG_957

My name is Tyler R. I am, Independent Advisor.

To activate the dark mode in Microsoft Word, the first thing we have to do is open the Office tool and once we are in front of its interface, we go to the menu option File> Options> General.

There we will find a lot of options organized by sections among which we will find Customize the copy of Microsoft Office.

There we will find several settings, but the one that interests us, in this case, to be able to activate the dark mode in Microsoft Word is Office Theme. Next, to this option, there is a drop-down that when clicking on it will show us several options among which we find dark gray. By selecting this theme and applying the changes, we will see how the Microsoft Word interface automatically changes its usual colors to a dark gray.

However, in order for the document to print dark, we can enter it from the ctrl + p command by opening the option of the selected printer or installed on your computer. We go to the option of printer properties and there we configure the color quality or impression
