PowerPoint can't start this feature because you currently have a visual basic for applications project in break mode

I have a Lenovo Yoga laptop which does not have a pause or break key.  When I try to delete a slide from a presentation I get the message in the title of this question.  The Lenovo manual claims that [Fn][B] simulates a break and [Fn][P] simulates a pause.  I have trried to use these key combinations to get out of the vba break mode, but neither works.  I simply want to delete some slides from my PowerPoint program.  I have no add-ins installed.  Help!

The part with the VBA will most likely be in C:\Users\YourActualUserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Addins. AppData is normally a hidden folder. A simple way to open it is to type %appdata% in to the address bar of a file window.

In the Addins folder In that folder will be a file that ends with .ppam. To do a quick test, shut down PowerPoint and move that add-in out of it's folder. When you restart PowerPoint, it may complain that an add-in file is missing, but what you're watching for is whether that VBA error message appears. If not you've found the culprit.

Perhaps there's an update from Camtasia that solves the issue.

That dropdown is only to show Add-ins that are running in the VBA Editor.

In PowerPoint, please choose File>Options>Add-ins. Under the Active Application Add-ins group, is anything listed other than Date (XML) and Mesurement Convertor (Measurment Convertor)?

Yes, John.  There is one other add-in listed.  It is Camtasia Add-in.  Camtasia is software I use to edit videos.  It is described as a COM Add-in.

John:  I concluded that I have no add-ins by selecting the Add-ins option in the menu bar of the VBA screen.  This opens the Add-ins Manager window which reveals no add-ins.

How are you checking that you have no addins? This message usually comes from an addin.
