Hi! Thanks for the answer. Office 2016 did enable auto-save on dropbox. I fail to understand how this is different? Maybe just a redirect like Office 2016 did?
Thanks!

Hi!
I recently (last week!) switched from Office 2016 to Office 365. I can't seem to be able to activitate "Autosave" (enregistrement automatique in my french version) in any other other place than One Drive. Now, I don't want to use OneDrive, because everyone I work with (and thus all our shared files) are on DropBox.
I was able to autosave (not just "recover") with Office 2016. Any way to change this in Office 365?
Thanks!

I already am clicking the save button every so often. But that seems, well, antiquated! :) Is there any plan to change this feature/bug?

This is not a bug. Autosave is part of collaboration features in Office, as well as integrated versioning. To enable these features, server-side code is required. Dropbox is not a Microsoft service and does not have the code required to enable collaboration features and Dropbox has its own file versioning scheme. DropBox could make an Office addon to alleviate some of these issues, but using something other than OneDrive or SharePoint will never be as seamless as an experience.

I'm afraid AutoSave with Office 365 feature only works with OneDrive.
As workaround you can save your files to Dropbox but not with the AutoSave feature.
