OLE Action Error - Cannot save file

I'm working in Microsoft Excel and SAP Excel Function. I keep receiving the error message "Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete the OLE action."  Is there a way to save my Excel file once I receive this error message.  I have not saved my file for several hours so I will lose a lot of work if I just go to my Windows Task Manager and End Task on Microsoft Excel.  Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I get this problem when using Oracle based applications that use Excel. Prior to going to Excel 365, I used to toggle between the error and the bottom buttons trying desperately to close them before the next OLE error pops up. When they successfully close I will get a chance to save my file, one by one. I start with the one I'm trying to save the most.

Now that I'm on 365, it's a bit trickier to save the files. I now have to bring up task manager. I then click the arrow beside "Microsoft Excel" to bring up a list of my spreadsheets that I have open. Hopefully you have more than one open, as you cannot save the last one you try to close. Select the spreadsheet that you most want to save by right clicking and choose "end task". This should bring up a window to save the document. Repeat the process for other spreadsheets you have open that you want to save. Finally when there is one left, you will have to end it - and it won't give you a chance to save the last one.

    Hope this works for you.
