    Hi Aldina,

Thank you for sharing the detailed situation from you side.

I understand your concern is that when a new user is added to a SharePoint site and set as the owner of the site, he is not informed to be the owner of the site, thus it is not easy for him to find which site he owns and he needs to follow.

If you add the user to site by adding him in the related group and set him as the Owner, it is expected that he will only receive an email about join the site group but not be notified that he is the owner.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

I recommend you use the following method to add the new user to SharePoint site:

1.In the SharePoint site, click the gear icon, select Site permissions>Advanced permissions settings.

2.On the site permissions page, in the existing SharePoint groups, click the Site Owners group that has Full Control permission, click New, then Invite people, enter name or email address of the new user. Here you can add a personal message saying about "you are the owner of this site".

Then when the new user receives the invitation email, he will see the message and be notified of the ownership of the site so that he goes to follow the site.

You may use the above method as a workaround for letting the non-admin users have a view of sites they own.

As there is no out-of-box feature to achieve the requirement, I recommend you share your valuable feedback to SharePoint UserVoice. UserVoice is monitored by the related team, it would the best way to let the developers know your requirements and comments.

    We appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Tina

The majority of our users are not system admins, the same for myself. This is an enterprise account and therefore we can't allow all users to be account admins.

    Thank you,

    Thanks, Jimmy,

In the case above, yes, they can follow the sites and that would solve, but when you are added to a new site and don't get a notification you end up taking ownership of sites without your knowledge. Example: a new team member that was added to 30 sites will have to look them up and find out the ones he owns, one by one... (in case a notifications are not on)

    Thanks all.

    Hi Aldina,

You may go to the SharePoint Admin Center as admin, in Sites>Active sites to see all the sites.

You may also see the sites which are filtered by the site admin by using the Primary admin column.

Aside from the obvious problem that only a few users are admins, the above statement isn't true. There is actually no listing of all sites in a tenant since the premature release of the modern ui. You can't see modern sites in the classic version of "sites" and vice versa. So if you have a mix of classic/modern, and  every user ism't an admin, what you're looking for isn't possible.

    Hi Aldina,

    Thanks for posting back.

I understand you want the non-admin users have a view of all sites they created. The method I shared before will only work for admins.

I assume those users create SharePoint sites via SharePoint home page> +Create site.

(We can access SharePoint home page by going to Office 365 portal, click SharePoint from App Launcher)

Generally, after we create a new site, we will follow the site and it will display in Following sites list on the SharePoint home page. If the site is not followed, just access the site and click the follow button(the star icon in upper-right corner).

So by following the sites, you can have a view of your sites on SharePoint home page>Following sites.

If you don't like using this method to get a view of all your sites, I suggest you send feedback to UserVoice, this would be the best way to let the developers know your requirement and help improving the products. Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Tina
