autofit button doesn't exist in my ppt 2016. I need to re-size my tables in ppt so that it would fit to contents. For some reason the "autofit button" is missing at Layout--> cellsize. Please help.

Hi Sahin_Asli,

Thanks for your query in this community.

Unfortunately, the "AutoFit" function is only available for Excel and Word. I've also checked on my side, there is no such a function under PowerPoint version 1906 Monthly Targeted Channel, which is the most latest version. Really sorry about the inconvenience.

Per my search, the Auto Fit function in PowerPoint is associate with another function called placeholder:

Control text size in a placeholder by using AutoFit

But the table in PowerPoint is not consider as a placeholder, thus the Auto Fit function won't work in the tables.

Given this kind of situation, I would kindly suggest you voting for Include a Placeholder for Excel Tables in PowerPoint UserVoice, which is a specific platform for us to collect user's request. Your suggestion will help us improve our Products and give users a better experience.

Thanks for your understanding.

Regards,

Alex Chen

Thanks for your time Luc, it's a shame that it doesn't exist in PPT.

    Sahin,

I could be wrong but is that not a feature that is only available in Microsoft Word? I do not remember ever seeing it in PPT. It is certainly not there in PPT 2019.
