OneNote didn't Complete Sync and lost notes

Hello and good day to you all!

I didn't realize this until now that in one of my new notebooks that I created the information did not sync, except for one section and a section group. I did this I think 2-3 days ago. So, I was re-organizing my information structure and created another notebook and moved the information in from one notebook to the new notebook. I am not sure why it didn't sync It appears that I lost all this information that took me tons of time to do. I hope MS you guys can really figure out to eliminate this in the future, but for now I might have to go another route with taking notes etc. I can't have this happen again.

I looked online and I can see the sections, but no pages except for one section, but in my apps nothing except what I mentioned above. Either way I get this message.

I also tried making a new page, but still not syncing all the content. It looks like it's gone. 

Any other advice of possibly recovering this I would appreciate it. Thank you!

    HI Tyler,

    Good news I figured it out before I saw your message here. I found everything. I went to the recycling bin in OneDrive and there I found those missing notes. I was able to restore and sync my notebook in OneNote App and they reappeared. Problem Solved!!!!!!!

    I am sorry to hear that this issue happened.

    OneNote generally saves notebooks on OneDrive. You should check if you are logged into OneDrive. In OneNote click on File > Open > OneDrive > Sign-In.

    Check if you are able to sign-in this way to OneDrive using your Microsoft Account and see if you can recover your missing notebooks.

    Hi Tyler! Thank you for your time and help on this matter. Thank you!

    I am logged into OneDrive and I went there, clicked on the link and it opened the notebook online, but all the sections and notes were not synced as I said in my post. So, no, I was not able to recover by going to OneDrive.

    Any other advice? Thank you!

    Another advice would be to check if you can find the notes in the recycle bin to restore them.

    Is this advice for the old software of OneNote 2016 or is this for the OneNote for windows 10 app? Because none of this information applies to me here. I don't see no recycling been except deleted notes, where the lost notes sections etc are not present and Windows 10 OneNote doesn't make make ups other wise I would of had this thing solved already.
