Use templates on OneNote ipad

I split my time using one note between my ipad and a desktop.  I'm trying to create a default template (paper style and color for pages).  I can see how to do this on the desktop but I don't see how to do this on the ipad.  I read in a closed thread that defaults created on the desktop should carry over to the ipad but this doesn't appear to be the case.

What am I missing?  Currently, I have to set the paper style for each new page I create on  the ipad which is a bummer .

Hi Mike,

Unfortunately, the option to create a page using a template in OneNote for iPad is not available.

Reference: Create pages, sections, or notebooks in OneNote for iPad or iPhone

Given the situation, we’ll suggest you vote in the following UserVoice link. UserVoice is the best way to give the feedback to Product Group as it’s actively monitored by them and many new features have been implemented from our customers feedback.

Regarding “defaults created on the desktop should carry over to the iPad”, I tested this on my end, I applied template to a page in OneNote 2016 and once the notebook was synced properly and I was able to see the template applied to a page in OneNote for iPad.

Please make sure the notebook in which you applied the template is synced properly to cloud and the notebook on your iPad is connected with the same account which you used in OneNote 2016.

Regards,

Neha
