OneNote printing to wrong notebook, as though a default has been selected

When trying to print to OneNote, when I select a notebook and section, the printout is going to a completely different notebook.  When trying to print to notebook B, C, or D, the printout consistently goes to notebook A.  What can I do to stop this?  By the way, if I go to a specific page and tell it to print to the current page, that works.  Note that I can navigate to the section I want and select it, but it still goes to the other notebook.  It's almost like it's "stuck" on that one notebook.

Dear Misty,

It seems that I can’t reproduce the issue in your environment currently with our latest version of the Office applications.

As you are using the Print feature in Outlook 2016 and Word 2016, we need to check whether the issue is related to the Office applications you are using. As Online Repair and the latest version of the Office applications may resolve some issues pertaining in the previous versions of the Office applications, I suggest you first check the Office applications’ version and go to File>Account to upload a full screenshot of the Account page in Word 2016 and Outlook 2016 for our clarification. If you aren’t using the latest version of the Office applications, I suggest you contact the administrator in your company to update the version of the Office applications on your computer and run an Online Repair to see the result.

Best Regards,

Cliff

By the way, I enjoyed the previous OneNote version much more than this one, as there are numerous limitations (like being unable to drag to make a subpage, rather than right clicking, or being unable to email a page - something I really miss).  I use OneNote all day, every day.

It's actually my favorite application, by far, for staying organized.

    Dear Misty,

    Thanks for your updates.

It seems that you are using the Print feature in Outlook 2016 and Word 2016. If yes, I suggest you first upload a full screenshot of the Account page in Word 2016 and Outlook 2016 for our reference. You can access the page via File>Account. You can access the pages via File>Account. Meanwhile, check whether you are using the latest version of the Office 2016 applications and go to Control Panel>Programs>right-click on the Office 2016 applications’ icon>Change>Online Repair, restart the computer and then do a test to see the result.

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

    Best Regards,

    Cliff

I'm printing emails or documents to OneNote, just by clicking on the print icon.  My default printer is Sending to OneNote.  I have OneNote for Windows with Windows 10.  OneNote Version 16001.11901.20096.0

I click on the print icon, then navigate through the various sections/pages/notebooks to which I am able to print, according to what I have open on my PC.  I select the notebook and section, but it then sends to a different notebook with the same section name.  I have multiple notebooks with identical section names (template-driven).  This has never been a problem until recently, maybe within the last 3-4 weeks.

I don't use the OneNote Clipper Tool.

    Thanks,

    Misty

    Dear MProck,

Regarding printing to OneNote, are you using the OneNote Clipper tool? Could you list the steps about how you print content to notebooks and upload some related screenshots?

What Notebook application are you using, OneNote for Windows or OneNote 2016?

    Best Regards,

    Cliff
