Excel Translator for Mac: Insert to Replace Translated Text

I am using the Translator in Excel and it work great whether for one cell or the entire document. However, from the videos I've seen online, there should be an "Insert" button in the lower section of the Translation pane...when you press it, it takes the translation and replaces all the selected original text. I am not seeing this insert button. Help!

    Hi jello03,

Forgot to mention that, versions of Excel might affect the Translator function.

Can you provide your detailed version number of your Office client?

(Steps: after started Excel, click File > Account, and take a screenshot of the Product Information including “About Excel”.)

Indicated from the official article you posted, in this part it notes that “In Excel, there is no Insert button, you'll have to copy/paste the text you highlighted in step1.”

Because the video attached to this article is common to various versions. By default, there’s no “Insert” button on Excel on Office 2019 for Mac in this case.

    We appreciate your understanding.

    Regards,

    Madoc

    Hi jello03,

According to my test, I can get the same situation as you mentioned. Here are related screenshots for my test:

    Mac:

    Windows:

However, in Word, when choosing “Translate Selection”, the “Insert” button will show up.

    Mac:Windows:

But when choosing “Translate Document” in **** Word, there’s also no “Insert” button here, only the “Translate” button.

    Mac:

    Windows:

We are involving more resources to further check the situation. We will post back and let you know once I got any updated information.

    Best regards,

    Madoc

See this article, section titled, "Translate Selected Text".

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/translate-text-into-a-different-language-287380e4-a56c-48a1-9977-f2dca89ce93f#id0eaacaaa=office\_2016\_for\_windows

Translator works fine. No "Insert" button to press...
