Visio not responding when any keyboard shortcut being used.

Hi Everyone,

I'm having a weird issue with my Visio that occurring after I upgraded to Windows 1903. It's, The Visio not responding to any commands and sit still when ever I do any keyboard shortcut. 

The application still runs, it's not freeing and showing any not responding prompt. 

For Example : 

If I wants to delete any object being placed and click on delete button in keyboard, it doesn't delete, when I try to click anywhere it doesn't respond to that. 

The only way to make it respond again is click anywhere else than Visio and app and then come again to Visio. But, the app dose respond to any operation done by mouse works, cut / copy / paste, but not the keyboard.

Weird !!!

I even tried reinstalling the operating system (clean install). I even downloaded trail versions of 2016 / 2019 of Visio, everything has the same issue.

May be its something between OS and the App !!  

What's the error ??

    I get it solved here!

    I was having the same issue.

    One of the settings that I changed on the past few days was word predictions on my physical keyboard. I turned it off and Visio stops to freeze.

    My system:

    • Windows 10 Professional - 1903 - Portuguese Brasil
    • Visio Professional 2013

    Thank you this was a life saver. It is actually done in the Windows settings.

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Click on Devices.
    3. Click on Typing.
    4. Under the “Hardware keyboard” section, turn off the Show text suggestions as I type toggle switch.

    Thank you, I've been stuck on this for a week. Every thing is work like a charm now. And for anyone else who might be still wonder. Just close word suggestions on Window Setting not on Visio's Option.

    Same problem here. Since update to 1903. Any key on keyboard freezes Visio. When change focus to some other app, Visio works again, but if you come back to Visio and press any key on keyboard, than hangs again... Impossible to work.
