Hi,

I am creating a new slide of type "Panoramic picture with Caption". When I insert the picture, I do not see the whole picture. It is automatically cropped. Could you please help me out. ?

Thanks a lot.

    Hi there!

My name is Benjamin, an expert Office user.

When you insert an image into a placeholder in a custom layout, the default setting is for the image to "fill" as much of the container as possible, cropping out anything that doesn't fit in the container's aspect ratio.

To fix this issue, after inserting the image, you can change the crop settings to "fit". To do this, select the image and go to the "Picture Format" tab. Click "Crop" in the "Size" tab and select "Fit". This will leave white space where it does not fill the excess space.

Once you see the fit image, you can play with the dimensions however you want by dragging the edges of the image.

I hope this helps! Please reach out to me if you have any more questions!

    Hi,

It might be cropped. Double click on the picture with the left mouse button and see if the crop icon appears in the top ribbon.
Otherwise click on the picture to select it, this will launch the picture tools tab, click format and to the left in the adjustments group click the drop down arrow on the reset icon and select reset picture and size.

Let me know if it work thanks

Picture placeholders enlarge the smallest dimension to fit the placeholder, then they crop the longer dimension.

To avoid this, use a Content placeholder on the layout. These enlarge the longest dimension to fit the placeholder, then reduces the placeholder size to fit the shortest dimension. The image is never cropped automatically.

thanks. It works. Another solution is to select the picture and click Format then Crop ribbon will appear, click on the drop down menu and select Fit. By default its value is Fill.
